How points, cups, tiers and rewards work - the honest version.

These terms govern the Real Coffee loyalty programme in our app, run by Real Bedford Coffee Limited at 68 High Street, Bedford MK40 1NT. Joining is free. By using the app you agree to these terms. Questions? Email hello@real-coffee.co.uk.
Points - one pound, one point
You earn one point for every £1 you spend in the shop, worked out from your till receipt. Part-pounds count too - we hold the exact amount behind the scenes and show your balance rounded. To earn, show your membership in the app at the counter before you pay so we can add the points to your account. As a welcome, we drop 25 points into your account when you join.
Cups - every tenth drink is on us
Separately from points, we count the drinks you buy - coffees, teas, hot chocolate, matcha and iced coffee (hot or iced). Every 10th qualifying drink earns you a free drink. Soft drinks, alcohol and food do not count toward cups (they still earn points as normal). Your free-drink voucher appears in the app and is valid for 6 months.
Match tickets
Each time you complete a run of 10 cups, alongside your free drink you also earn a Real Bedford FC match ticket voucher, subject to availability for eligible home fixtures. Ticket vouchers are redeemed in the app and issued in your name through our ticketing provider.
Tiers and rewards
Your lifetime points (the running total of everything you have ever earned, which never goes down) move you up the tiers:
Bronze - where everyone starts.
Silver at 250 points - a Real Bedford mug.
Gold at 500 points - a Real Bedford t-shirt.
Elite at 1,000 points - a Real Bedford hoodie.
You reach each reward once. When you cross a tier, the reward appears in the app for you to claim in the shop. Rewards are physical goods; sizes and designs are subject to availability, and we may substitute a reward of equal value if we have to.
Redeeming and reversals
Show a voucher in the app at the counter to redeem it. If a scan is made in error, a member of staff can reverse it for a short period (around 15 minutes), which adjusts your points and cups accordingly. Points and vouchers have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts.
Your account
One account per person. Please keep your details accurate. We may pause or close an account, and cancel points or vouchers, if the programme is being abused - for example fraudulent scanning, or points not earned by a genuine purchase. You can leave any time by deleting your account in the app (You tab → Delete my account) or at real-coffee.co.uk/delete-account; deleting your account ends any unused vouchers.
Changes
We may change how the programme works - the earn rate, the tiers, the rewards, or these terms. If we make a significant change we will give reasonable notice in the app and update the date at the top of this page. If we ever end the programme, we will tell you in advance so you can use what you have earned.
